Meridian Credit Union Ltd. is a Canadian credit union. It was formed April 1, 2005, after the joining of Niagara Credit Union and HEPCOE Credit Union. It is insured by Ontario Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Histori
Meridian is Canada's fourth largest credit union, and the largest credit union in Ontario, serving more than 275,000 members with total assets under administration of more than $ 14 billion. Meridian offers banking, wealth management, credit products and services through 86 branches, and eleven Commercial Business Centers.
Desjardins Credit Union (affiliate of Ontario from Desjardins Group) and Meridian membership voted in favor of an effective merger June 1, 2011. By 2012, most of the Desjardins branches in Ontario have been renamed Meridian branches.
In April 2016 Meridian completed the acquisition of Scotiabank from Roynat Lease Finance, a supplier of commercial equipment leasing. Roynat Lease Finance will operate as Meridian OneCap Credit Corp., a subsidiary of Meridian Credit Union.
In February 2017, Meridian announced and introduced a new Visa credit card, moving away from MasterCard.

On August 17, 2016, Credit Union Meridian announced it would start a federal bank named Meridian Bank.

Credit Union Meridian is recognized as one of the top 100 Canadian entrepreneurs by Maclean magazine in 2009 and 2010.
